im looking for a bearing to use in a experiment... i cant seem to find it by searching on the net, and thought maybe you guys might have better resources, or could point to somewhere in the Hickory area that could help... it is going in as a wheel bearing application and needs work accordingly...

the dimensions for the bearing and race combo are:

OD= 3.25"
ID= 2.4375"
w= 0.866"

if there is something that has slightly different dimensions let me know too as i might could use it... thanks.
 
haha well i just had an idea that im wantin to see if i could make work... but this bearing and a lil machine work is whats holdin me up...

its for one of my projects... and i have too many haha... even though the cummins buggy sat did get me wantin another haha
 
I went to a local machine shop too look for a bearing like that...i just had my dimensions...he looked the dimensions up in this HUGE book and ordered it up...wasn't that expensive either...

edit: although mine wasn't tapered...just a single sealed roller bearing...

Yep, Applied is good. Also, Motion Industries. They both have stores on 321 near i85 in gastonia.
