I'm looking to get a chip for my 89 350 TBI to delete VSS and EGR and hopefully get a few more HP. Price is $118 to my door. Anyone have any comments on TBI chips? Any other guys out there with good, inexpensive chips?
This company said I would have to run a 170 deg thermostat. I think the website said that if I ran a thermo near 200 that I would need to burn 91 octane.
I've always thought it is good keep a motor at 200 or above because it is more efficient when it is that warm. Are there any downsides to running a 170 deg on 87 octane, or would it be better to run 200 deg and go with 91?
