I am running a 1990 TBI junkyard swap on my 78 CJ5 AMC 304. My E200 is starting to make more noise than usual, I have seen where people suggest either, E8248 or GSL392, is the higher pressure a concern or ok? I only need 9 to 13 PSI these both are over 80. I don't have a regulator, unless there's one in the GM throttle body, i did run a return line thru my original return line, which is smaller than GM ran. Plus I ran the lines with the mind that I am not going to have over 15psi, so I may have leaks at the higher pressure which would be concerning obviously.

No problem just want to make sure I wasn't missing something and should stick with the lower pressure since I'm running TBI and not a multiport or EFI

I had to replace a new 395 last year because it would not keep up even though my TBI only requires about 10-15 psi. Used a 392 and all is well. As long as you have a return line you're good.

Well Walbro is out of 395 pumps.

I have a GSL 395 on my tbi. Fuel pressure gauge says 11 psi.
Yeah, I tried to order direct from, walbro, they were not in stock. Summit said ship date was 5/29.

I would prefer to buy from a parts store, that way I can replace when out of town and not wait. I'm going to look for my airtex receipt but I am not too optimistic.

You can get an Airtex E8094 from RockAuto for $59. At that price, buy two and put on in the glove box if you are worried about spares availability.

50GPH, 15PSI. Higher flow than the GSL395, etc.

@No fries GM Throttle bodies have the fuel pressure regulator built in, so you can run the higher PSI without issues... it'll bleed off anything over it's set #.

@Fabrik8 Am I the only here totally gun shy of anything with an Airtex sticker? It seems most folks have to buy 3-4 to get 1 good/working pump

That's why you have a spare in the glove box. :D

But yes, quality TBI pumps seem to be slim pickins' these days if the Walbro isn't available. Trying to think if Bosch or Aeromotive would have something applicable if the pressure delta isn't too high. I mean, you could probably run 3 of those TBI engines off of a Bosch 044. Well, maybe 2 TBI engines with small nitrous shots.

Hmm. Bosch 0 580 464 070 (0580464070) would be another choice probably. Same 130lph as the Walbro, at 3bar pressure (42psi).

Summit ship date was 5/29. And walbro took my money then refunded it saying it was out of stock. Bet Summit ships direct from Walbro.

FWIW, just pulled the trigger on a GSL932 & install kit (terminal nuts & barbs) from Speedway Motors... appears to be in-stock and will deliver midweek

Total for everything was less than Summit's bare pump price :D

My airtex survived Gulches on Saturday, @rq had to replace his 392 may have been an electrical connection. I'm still in the fence of buying 2 for the price of one. Seems like a gamble either way.
