At the shop here we just pull the beds off. The fuel lines on the pick-up are a PITA to take off while trying to stick your head and hands up in that small space. Bed takes about as long to take off as the pull the tank and you can crank the truck with the bed off and not have to pull the tank back out if there is a leak or problem.
