TCU?

PCM is under the dash, right around the gas pedal, just above it. Later models place the PCM under the hood. The TCM is also under the dash on the drivers side.

Why do you ask? TCM's rarely fail.

well when it gets warm the trans just stops then when i turn it off and the crank it back up it will go for about 5 foot and then stop pulling so from what i read on here and other places that needs to be un pluged and rest and see if that is it but i dont now where it is

doesn't move forward or back? your description sound like you either have a filter that has fallen down or is clogged up. basically the tranny pump cant draw fluid up from the pan. drop your pan and check it out.

i put new filter and fluid in it as soon as it did that but still dose the same thing thats problem the reason i got it so cheap. and it dose it revers and forward

hmm, well i wish i could tell you where the tcu is on that model but i don't know either. could be close to ecm in the glove box area.

i just went and pulled the trans out i am going to put a new/used one in it thank you all for your help

When you go into the TCM, try pulling the fuse, then shift the auto manually. I have seen several do this. Actually seems like a common problem. also, if you look at the TCM it has a color coated label on it, a replacement has to be the same, they don't interchange

do you mean a repacement as in a new/used trany has to have the same tcm as it came from fatory.
