Tellico Question

My wife and i are both on vacation all next week. I was definetly planning on doing a little wheeling during the week. Im not bothered by going to uwharrie when there aren't many people around, but would it be a mistake to make a trip to tellico during the week when there will not be many people there? I have the tools to fix most problems, but don't have many spares, and no winch.

I have never been to tellico but from the info i can gather there are probably 6 trails that won't pose much of a problem. Trail 1,3-5, 7 and 8 don't sound too difficult. Does this sound about right to everyone? I'm not apposed to going on a weekend, just definetly wanting to do something the week im off. If im asking for trouble please tell me. Opinions needed.

kyle, imho no, based on several points,

-never wheel alone..
-tellico is 45min from nowhere, most trails are a long way in and then back out on another trail. IE little/no 'easy' access points.
- NO winch.. (or 2nd rig)
- never having been, your making a decision based on intarweb info rather than personal judgment...
- trail 1 is the gravel road the trails you have picked are definitly doable with a small group without much trouble...
 
Yeah, i kinda figured it wasnt the best idea. So.... Yag, got any plans next week...i need someone to show me around tellico. :flipoff2:

As many know I carry, er, um, quiet a lot of "stuff" on my rig. I wouldn't go on any trail at Tellico alone.
 
I think that would be an understatement about the "stuff" on the vehicle :)

Actually Daddie said (or Bubbie) that they actually had a trail ready lathe -- maybe this would be the next update

pay for my diesel to/from and ill go.

Ive only been to tellico once before on a weekday and there are still people there, just not the football stadium crowd gathered around lower 2. Make sure your cb and winch works. On the other hand, im not for lone wheelin either.

Actually his computer use is limited to when I am sitting beside him and typing for him. Otherwise he has to YELL AT EVERYONE because he doesn't know how to use the shift key so he types in all caps. ;)

How ya been doing. Guess what, I have a propane system already being shipped to my address for my Bronco -- no more carb problems for me :D

I got my junk back from CRS last week, all fixed up and super trussed. Let me know when you guys are planning another trip, I sure would like to tag along again. I had a great time wheeling with y'all.

oh yeah, I have video from the first two days in tellico, including you showing the fellas how to do that gulley after slickrock. :eek:
 
Actually we are in the process of buying a plasma cutter with MY BONUS CHECK ( am I not the sweetest wife ever) but he has borrowed one and has most everything cut off but not put back together. He is waiting for a part to come from CRS that should have been here a week and a half ago. Can't wait to go wheeling again. I didn't get to take my to Tellico so I am really itching.
I also bought a pink racing harness for my Bronco. Won't I be styling ;)

Sorry, only a bratty little brother who still picks on me and not really any cousins for ya either since I am the first girl in three generations. I guess that explains a lot about why I am the way I am. :lol:
