Can anyone name this adapter? I bought it used and it has a spot for a forward shift case shift rails to come through, but a normal shift tower doesnt fit to good. If I can figure out who made it, I can (hopefully) call and get any peices that I dont have to make it work.

I really hope I can get a forward shift case to work, since I have 2 of them in the garage and it would be the end of the month at the earliest before I can get a top shift case.

Its half clean because I was looking for a name on the adapter, but no luck. It is also steel, not aluminum (if that makes a difference).

Thanks

geez, looks like it was left in the rain for a while.. bearing looks rough!

I'm gonna take a stab and say Downey. It's certainly not AA..

Shouldn't be any parts required, I can't think of anything you'd need.

My AA one for reference, is here: http://www.nc4x4.com/forums/showthread.php?t=22808

Before I run it, I am going to replace that bearing, I am just trying to get some stuff mocked up now.

I was thinking Downey too. When I got this one, there was a makeshift plate covering the hole for the forward shift shifter. a normal shift tower does not bolt on there, so I was making sure I wasnt missing something. Ill search on Downey's a little more and see what I can come up with.

Your bearing looks a little better than mine, you wanna trade? :D

Sure.. yours for mine & $300, and I'll even let you keep yours.. :flipoff2:

I may have to go with a older style shift tower, looking at the different pictures of them, that looks to be an option. My newer style shift tower is too small, i think its 1 3/4 from hole to hole on each side, whereas this is considerably larger.

To the Wanted section I go!
