Is there any reason anyone here knows about that a TH400 would have reversve, but not drive?
I was shifting it from the linkage where it goes into the tranny. Reverse was good, no forward gear. Is there anything that would do this other than a bad tranny?
This is in a '77 FSJ Cherokee. TH400/Quadratrac.

Anyone have a cheap/free/trade TH400 around for a Quadratrac?
 
Rebuild the one you have and you will no what you got. Drop the pan and look at the shift cam just on the other side of the external shifter an see if any linkage is broke, I had a reverse spring on the reverse shaft to brake an it jamed up. I hope this helps.
