Thanks BRUISER!

when i move back to my place and randy to yours, things could get ugly with us all in such close proximity...:flipoff2::lol:

the kiddy pools were filled with girls (filled means one per pool),.

Well Shit if I had know that I would have delivered the ramps :)

well sort of.. I am sure your neighbors will be call the city..

Based on what - vehicles are covered and in the driveway. No legal infraction there.
Personally, i'd get a bigger tarp for that hulk on teh trailer though.

because he live in Raleigh :)

but really it all depends on the neighbors.. if they care or not..

I have seen the city called on a lot less

hopefully the Ramcharger wont make a pilgrimage over this way, or at least until my junk is long gone.

the little old lady who lives next to me walked over and after explaining my situation she said "well it sure isn't the prettiest looking thing in the world but i don't mind it at all" so hopefully I will be ok for a while.

.....ass she calls the city when she gets to the house to report you.. You shoulda put some camo tarp on it.. Then it would magically dissapear!

well, as expected I was just told I have one week to move the trailers before the neighborhood calls the city.... more reasoning for my getting rid of the build thread...

I don't get it.
Is there a specific ordinance against having trailers in the driveway?
What infraction can the city charge you with? If you had a bigger tarp so the vehicle was 100% covered, as far as the city is concerned, you could have anything under there - say, a boat? I just don't see what the city could say or do if you are within the confines of the ordinances.
Can you move it into the backyard?

yea i can move them into the back yard. the lady who talked to me said my landlord could get a fine for each trailer and that i could get a fine for each trailer.

Where in Raleigh do you live?

It would be interesting to find out whether or not that lady has grounds behind what she is saying or if she is just blowing smoke. Maybe it is because you have a landlord and a contract. I live in North Raleigh and we can do whatever we want, and my Grandad has one of the biggest residential properties inside the beltline and he can put whatever he wants in his yard.

Now if you said Cary, i would have understood. My friend got a fine in cary for parking 1 tire of his truck on his own grass.

I would actually check .. but yes the city can ask you to move items.. I have sit in on enough city council meetings ( yes I have considered running ) to see some of these complaints come threw the doors.

and usually the city wins and you have to move your stuff or the city will take it away for you. ( TRUST me you do not want that to happen )

well i didn't want to give the lady any grief, she was very nice and very pregnant. I think most of the older people in the neighborhood (basically everyone) use her as the voice for the community and all she was telling me was that a few neighbors were talking about it and that due to other circumstances on the street (new pools with no fences, another house with two unregistered cars in front drive, etc.) that the inspections people will more than likely be making some rounds soon and issuing fines/notices. I am in no way angry, offended, or what have you; i expected it to happen in some fashion I just didn't think I could get a fine for having something in my own driveway.... even though it is quite ugly looking.

My street is off Buck Jones right down from that new Sonic that opened a few months ago, not in Cary but very close to it.

I am still skeptical about them being able to tell you anything about it, but i know they definitely cannot tell you anything if it is in use. If you are doing work on it and shifting it around occasionally you should be fine.
