Ok long story shortened.

Mom visitsSunday, has flat tire, get repair kit out of trail jeep, leave the hatch open,fix tire,put up kit, close hatch.

Cut to the following tuesday

Hanging Christmas lights, need zip ties, go get them from jeep,
An angry,hungry,cold PET CAT jumps out after almost 3 days.
I felt terrible and lucky that ''Nelly'' is still alive.

Didnt think much more about it untill I went to move the jeep and......................Yes cat urine in BOTH front seats.
So like the title says...The cat wins!!

Horrible smell that wont leave....EVER!!

So, Does anyone have a set of used,cheap,front xj seats?

Also I have a set of FREE used xj seats if anyone wants them.
 
get this stuff called "No Mark". We have a male cat and he liked to mark everything in every closet because he thought it belonged to him. After we got him fixed he stopped doing it but that No mark worked for getting the smell out of the closet. You can get it at a petsmart or petco.
 
yeah, check the pet stores...an old girlfriend of mine had a cat who peed on EVERYTHING when she got a new roommate with another cat...she went through bottles of some product or other, but it worked great...sorry I can't remember the name - that was like 1995...
 
Man you have the worst luck but you always find humor in it somehow! LOL! I hate cats. LOL! We have one that keeps pissin in front of the litter box.

I have some chevy truck seats that are brand new. I dont know if you can make them fit but PM me if you want them. Driver side is electric!

Thanks for the offer Nate. I will wait and see what happens in the next few days, either with petsmart, or an offer on some xj seats.I will let you know.
 
If you get some new seats let me know and I will take yours off your hands. I need a new driver side, mine has the gansta lean and it's annoying.

Cant shoot the cat, Probably my fault for locking her up in my jeep for almost 3 days. Im just glad it was not summer time!
 
Did you know that cat urine glows under a black light?
We are talking about some serious ammonia here. Or whatever it is that makes it so potent. I would almost rather bathe in dog pee as apposed to have cat pee on my seats...lol
 
Cat Urine

Go to Wal-Mart or your favorite hunting supply and get a large bottle of Scent-Away. I use it to kill my scent when, hunting. It will kill any smell.
 
Dude, you remember how bad it smelled when you peed out that fire?
Well burning the seats soaked in car urine will be 10x worse.
that said - it's the only way it will ever get out. Get a match and have fun. Cover your nose.

Problem is, the good-smelling stuff might get off the first layer and cover the smell, but unless you can physically remove every trace of it from the fabric it wil lcome back.
Especially this summer when it gets hot again.

I know.......its real bad in the drivers seat I really do need to swap out the seats. I know it will never leave. The folks who are talking about dog pee, just dont know how much worse cat pee is. These seats will have to go for sure.
