Wow!

That about sums up the changes Rock Corp made out there. This was my fourth trip there and this time was easily 4 or 5 times more difficult. Granted the ground was slick, but 3 Way, Trail 6, the top of Trail 2 (I think), and several others were just plain crazy!

We had tons of fun with the Carolina Trailblazers! Big thanks to JC for the invite, Rick for the winch, and all of the rest of the club for letting us tag along. It made for a great Saturday!

I wish I had more pics of the club. I broke my axle shaft early and had to come back to the parking lot to replace it, so not as much camera work as usual.

Here are a few of the shots from the day-

I haven't checked my video camera yet, hopefully some of the HD video came out ok.

13 hour day today, time for some

Nice pics, as usual...didn't you break a shaft down at Gulches? Same one?

Thanks!

I did break at Gulches- driver's side short shaft. Yesterday I broke the passenger side short shaft. Crazy thing is, I wheeled 37"s for 2 years on these shafts twice a month without any issues, then on two out of my last three trips I broke a shaft.

I'm trying to figure out what direction to go- buy a Super 44 (I thought I already had one, but got ripped off), or build a 60 for the front. I'm already running a Super 44 rear and haven't had any issues with it.

I don't like to keep throwing money at a Rubi 44 when I know I will upgrade down the road, but $$$$ is tough to justify on it right now.

It was good meeting a few new faces and seeing some I've not seen in a while. I was glad to see some of the new members come out and ride too. My son and I had a great ride other than messing my winch up. I'm just glad I got him out before coming up that last section on Laurel Lane.
