We upgraded NC4x4 to the newest version of the forum software on the morning of 1/2/21. This has been a massive undertaking, and there are likely still a few things that don't work. I'll keep a running tally here at the top of the thread, so please reply to this thread with any issues you come across.

Upgrade Improvements:
1. The maximum photo size has been increased. This should fix issues that folks with newer phones were having with posting photos.
2. "Media"/video links now include a lot more options. I'm working on adding more.
3. There is a small flag at the top right of each post that allows you to bookmark the post. Bookmarks are saved in the forum, not in your browser.

Upgrade Issues:

TapatalkDue to issues with Hong Kong / China obscenity laws and some other issues, this one may not return.Pending
Club User GroupsThis is a custom add-on that we commissioned in 2012. The original author has since retired, and his IP has changed hands several times. The current software seems buggy and may not work for us anymore. I'll have to buy it to find out.Contact me to add/delete users, change moderators, etc.
Mobile/Small Screen Display IssuesI know there are a few. This is in progress. Please post screenshots of anything weird you're seeing on mobile devices.
Rotating Pictures in HeaderNeed to rewrite the script that does this.FIXED
Page links missingDon't show on mobile/skinny screensFIXED
LoginsRequires you to enter your username/password the first time backNormal, Contact us if you need help resetting your password
Link color in postsCouldn't tell links from regular textLinks now pale blue; let me know if they're now hard to read.

Will take time to get used to I’m sure.
The forum list page is really weird I’ll screen shot next.
Bigger issue is the page button of a thread is gone . No way to start at last or first page

You're talking about these guys?

Looks like they're disappearing on the narrowest screens. I'll see if I can bring them back.

Noticed that myself...assumed part of the upgrade, I’d just have to toggle manually. Would be nice to have though, along with defaulting to first unread reply.

I'm still jumping to the newest unread post in a thread.

I noticed the toggle for going to another page in a thread, like @tsconver posted above...

Spoke too soon. Looks like threads that had new replies but hadn’t been visited since the update, it was defaulting to the first post in the thread. After visiting them and going to the last post, I’m jumping to the first unread with new replies now.

I've made a bunch of changes to the thread lists for narrow screens (phone portrait/vertical, basically). The page listing and the thread creation date should now both appear. Clicking on the thread date takes you to the first page, clicking on the page link takes you to that specific page, and clicking on the title takes you to the first unread post. If there are no unread posts, *I think* it takes you to the beginning of the thread. Clicking on the last post link at the far right side of the screen always takes you to the last post in the thread.

I think this is how it used to work, but let me know if it's still weird.

On my PC the thread titles used to be dark blue, now they are a pale light blue...If that matters. Thanks for the hard work y'all!

Yeah, I fucked up. I meant to only change links in posts, but changed all of the link colors instead. I'll fix shortly.

As long as dominion doesn’t have their finger in it it’ll be a cool upgrade when the bugs are out of it. I don’t know if I could stand waking up to an extra boat load of new posts from out of nowhere??!!

When looking at watched threads there used to be a way to narrow it down to unread watched threads. Is this still available and I'm missing it.

Everything looks good so far. Only thing I see (still) missing is the ability to search Conversations. Definitely gonna take some getting used to, but overall looks good. I wouldnt mind the side margins being a little wider, as the text is pretty close to the edges. And the header/footer of each post being tighter with smaller text so theres less wasted space. Usually that stuff takes up more vertical space than the actual text of the post and is rather redundant.

Also, the edit button is hidden in a submenu, and it would be nice if it was displayed since I have to use it on about 80% of my posts due to "smart"phone corrections.

Nice work on the edit button

Now the only thing under "More Options" is the Delete button, so can you just get rid of the More Options option?

Also, the emojis are hidden in a submenu. Can we swap it out for the hyperlink button since (mostly) noone uses that button when you can just paste a link?

Ugh, change lol.
Kidding. Thanks for the hard work behind the scenes.

Links are pale blue, seem to be bold. Did they used to be underlined? This might just take some getting used to.

Also, the "Similar Threads" list at the bottom is a complete waste of space and dominates the screen while I'm trying to type a reply. Can it go away completely?
