The URE race did not really have a paid spot for the over all winner. I did hear that a guy in the stock class, i think it was a Jeep grand cherokee posted the overall best time of 6minutes 57 seconds.
That's really moving for the estimated 4.5 mile rocky mt loop. i was in the B class and i thought i was really moving and it took me 9 min 33 sec.
The big boys in D class could not beat the fastest stock time i think the jumps really slowed some people down.
But all said and done we had a great time!!!! they just need more planing and Stick to the plan. you really had to stay informed about what time your class was to run or you just got left out and i think some racers did.

my wife and i went to cracker barrell for breakfast sunday morning and sat next to a guy and his wife/son who had drove down from kentucky. he paid to race and didn't even get to. he was a little disappointed due to lack of organization, but said he had fun. we all gotta remember that this was the 1st event ever like this around there and it can only get better from here (hopefully).

I really have to say that the A class speeds are deceptive, they really only had to jump and drive, no rocks involved. If you want something impressive, look at class D times, they had the hardest lines, but posted in the 7 min area.

Yea your right the a class had a much easyer line.

Yes and no. Clearly we lost no time at all on Kodak. However I thin keverybody wil lagree, the "ledge" before kodak was the best spot, and there is no easy line there, even the stockers had to take soem time there. The only thing they did was to block off the whole path, you still had to pick the exact route to take.
Note teh carnage was retty well distributed across all the classes.

I ran A and B class. I think that the most exciting was B. We ran all the same lines as C and D but on 35s or less. the only difference was an option on the far left of the kodak section which not everybody used. so in essence the B class times were the best and used the tougher lines too. I think the ledge/step that A-classa did not have to run separated the men from the boys. CNC was set up there a good bit of the day and im sure has some great footage.
