Anybody have experience with the current versions? I am looking at the Fabricator 210. I would go Miller, Lincoln, Esab, etc... that seem to more prevalent around here but not enough $$$ for those. The 210 specs out like a 250 but priced reasonably with five year warranty.

Thermal Arc makes very good plasma cutters for sure but I did own a Thermal Arc Predator Portable and was very diappointed. It's design for weld current production had issues. Check before you buy and make sure the consumables interchange with the more common stuff too. I've had instances where I needed stuff on weekends and odd stuff can't be found outside of welding supply houses. For my part and what people in the sales of new equipment tell me Thermal Arc welders don't stack up to the other big names.

What price range are ya in?

Well, I was in the Miller price range until recently but I have found one of these for about 1150. It seems to spec out very well and it seems that Thermal Arc has a decent name on the various welding forums I have looked at. There is not a whole lot of mention on this unit mainly the bigger ones.

It maybe unlikely for you but my work place has been successful at getting to demo new units, doesn't hurt to ask them before you decide. It may only work for them since they've bought so much equipment though.
