My wife and i have been thinking about adopting a baby for some time now. We have just recintly contacted an adoption agency and have been doing some research on agencys and a place called The Adoption Network. We have searched the web and we have learned alot.
We have alot of questions and was wondering if anybody here has gone throught this process. We would like to talk to you if you have some free time. We still Are wondering about the fiancial side and the legal process. Maybee someone with experience can shed some light on the subject and maybee answer a question or two for us.
Thanks in advance
Chris and Jaime

my opinion on adoption is 2 things.

good for you. a+

and adopt from inside the country.

That is all good info thanks for all the responses.
Well today we started the process and talked with both of our parents. Mine did not like the ideal and less say not so supportive. I hope this dosent hurt us during the home study.
My wifes parrents on the other hand think its wonderfull what we want to do and are very suportive. We nor they are no where near welthy but they said they are their for us in any way they can help money included.
We are talking to a place called The Adoption Network Law Office. Everybody their is very helpfull and we have done alot of research on them. They are going to be the ones that help us find a birthmother with a profile on the web. Their is an application fee that we well find out on thursday when we have our first interveiw.
Then we will talk to a place here in NC called the Nathanson for our home study. The cost on this could run from 1500 to 2500 dollars.
Itll be all worth it in the end.

Good luck!! A lot of kids out there who need a home & someone to love/raise them.

That's awesome! Best of luck to you both on this. There are way to many children out there without a loving home.

Check to see what incentives there are in your county. I have a friend in Iredell County that said they help you out quite a bit if you adopt through them.
