What's up with the driver's side exhaust on the black truck in the second link? It looks like after he shifts the second time he looses a turbo or something. Notice how much the passenger stack is pushing smoke but the driver's side slows down.

Most heavy duty trucks are straight 6 engines a few v-8s. So the exhaust splits and then goes to the 2 stacks

 R. E. P. O. M.???

I'm guessing Australia, axle spacing on the drive axle is not US or Canada. Hard to tell but looks like right hand drive!

Yes, this is a rodeo that's put on annually up in Quebec (Rodeo du Camion literally means Truck Rodeo in French). The vehicles are topping off at 190,000 lbs curb weight (no, not a typo). And I guess it goes without saying that these drivers have either deeeeep pockets, or sponsors (or both) because they go through engine pieces/parts quickly. Oddly enough, I'm told, the clutches hold up to to abuse.

I'm planning on going up for the 2011 show again. It's f*cking wild!! It's held the around the first weekend of every August. I think this years show is the 28-31 of July....this is the site: http://www.elrodeo.com/en/

Only thing that really sucks is not understanding the announcers - everything is in French. The bands mostly play music in French, too, but I didn't mind that so much, but not being able to understand the announcers sucked. Oh, and trying to hit on/put the moves on a backwoods Canadian chick who AT BEST speaks broken English is, well....sh*tty, too.
