Do you think this aluminum is clean/pure enough to TIG? Or is it more of an aluminum-ish pot metal?

ER4043Alā€“Si weld filler and rock on if you want to get real specific.

Spec sheet on link called it: ADC#12 aluminum. I got grade with Si added.

New condition without a coating should weld pretty good. Treat it like any other molded chunk. Little more cleaning action on the AC if you can adjust it.

Depending on application, Alumarod and a torch might work just as well.
