DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLES THERE!

I just got home from possibly a second place finish only behind a jeep stealership.

I drop my car off in the morning to have my tires balanced. My drivers side rear had a lil wobble to it and they are new tires/rims so it needed to be done. I call at 2 or so to see if its done and they tell me they will be done by 430 or 5. I call at 445 to verify that it will be done and they tell me "its coming out now". I get there @ 5 on the nose after work and the jeep is on a full lift 8' in the air. They signal me outside and I walk out with a puzzled mind. They alert me that I have some movement in my front axle on the drivers side. I tell them I'm aware but its not much and hasn't been a problem. Say no problem but I've got to run. Woman alerts me that I shouldn't be driving the Jeep. This is where I get alil ill.

I ask her what the problem is then? Neither the tech nor the manager can tell me so I ask them exactly why I am not supposed to drive my jeep since you have no clue what you are looking at? I get the uhhhhhhh face and heres where it gets fun.

They then say fine we will start on the tires......

They've had these vehicle for hours and have promised it done but they haven't even started at 5:15. I have to get home for dinner and I find it hard to believe they are going to balance and rotate these tires in 15 min. At this point I ask them why I was lied to all day. The manager(I presume) tells me that they didnt lie. The car was ready at 5pm by her standards (just no work done) and it was coming off a lift earlier so it could go on the wrong lift in the first place. I tell them to pull the jeep off asap b/c now I'm late.

I walk out front and hear my jeep coming around. The guy has it in first and is bouncing it down the road. Takes the corner in gear in a locked vehicle and is now bucking the jeep. Around the corner I hear a pop. Me and the guy proceed to get into it on how to drive someone elses car and I leave. Driving home the rear is popping and weaving me to the left from the locker engaging and disengaging (my guess). So now god knows what damage I have and was treated like complete crap and lied to along the way.

I would highly advise against these people. I havent had experience with their other shops and used this one out of convenience. TERRIBLE SERVICE AND NOW I'm prob 100's in the hole to fix their destruction.

My shop is about 5 miles form that tire king, next time bring it to me. And did you say the woman was working on your jeep.
No she was the shop mgr I presume. She was ranting about how I shouldnt even drive the jeep yet none of them could even tell me what was wrong with it. I told them and 2 min later asked them what it was. They couldn't even repeat it back to me. Im really pissed off about being lied to but I'm seriously pissed b/c I have an undriveable jeep now. I already agreed to working on a buddies jeep this weekend (sye, lift, removing body lift) so Ive lost that time.

Cperry,
I was going to bring it over to your shop since I've heard such good things but these guys do all of our company vehicles so I was going to charge it to our corp acct. I'm going to give somebody some hell tomorrow. BTW sent you a pm.

if the jeep was in working order before you brought it there, and when you drove it home it was fubarbed....bring it back and get them to fix it or pay for it to be fixed elsewhere.

may be a pita convincing them to do that, BUT if you have a good arguement then they should do it.

So they broke your Jeep by simply driving it?

I have a locked d35 on 35" tires. Bucking the jeep around is not something to do lol. I should have thought of it but who in their right mind has to tell a shop to "be careful with my jeep". I know it sounds retarded to say someone screwed up something driving it 100' but I'm not riding a well built jeep. I've had some convos today and it doesn't seem like much is going to come of it. After speaking with people around our office it seems I'm not the only person to have probs with them.
