I am running new tires on my Commando and am wondering if I am safe running a lower pressure than I did with my old tires to get the contact patch I want. I am running 35" pro comp xterrains on a 15x8 wheel. I think I may go to a 15x10 wheel to flatten them out a little. I have the tires at 21 psi front/ 19 psi rear right now and they are just about right. i probably need to go down another psi or 2 and they will sit the way i want. My question is whether or not this will be too low for street use. Will they heat up, or be okay?
They look like this

And right now they are riding on all but the last inch on each side.

I used to run my 35" mtr's at 22psi on the road with no problems. Even on the highway with the 304 screaming at 75mph.

How much highway driving do you do? If this is your daily driver and it sees alot of street use, I'd run more than 22psi on the street. Bump them up to at least 28 or so.
