I bought an almost new(90-95% tread) set of 33/12.50/15 Thunderer M/T tires mounted on 15x8 soft 8's from my buddy for my '98 Grand Cherokee Limited. The Jeep he bought them for and that they were on was used just for wheeling and the transmission went south in it so he sold me the wheels and tires for $300. The front two tires had been stuffed up in the fenders and it actually gouged/chopped some of the tread up. There's no holes or leaks or anything the tread is just chopped up. I stuck those two in the back and ran the other two up front. Am I going to run into any problems with not being able to rotate the tires or a harsh ride because of this? Should I leave those two tires with the chopped tread in the back the whole time that they're on my Jeep? Thanks for the help!

As long as the gouges arent into the carcass, you should be fine. If it is just in the tread blocks, you will be good.

Just some extra siping, as long as the tires still hold air, and the gouges didn't get into the tire carcess as said above, you should be ok.

It's just in the tread blocks. It scrubbed the inside of the fender and chopped the tread blocks up some. So, I will be okay to run those tires on the front when it comes time to rotate them?
