TJ 4.0 stage 1 chip

Can anyone offer any info on the pro/cons to a stage 1 chip for a 03 TJ 4.0 chip? worth the money? Hp/torq? I don't have $$ to do axle/gear swaps or other big mods right now. Just looking for easy/simple boost for now. Thx in advance for any advise

not worth it - cheapest way out is to run a gear lower hahhaa

save for axles/gears

yup yup^^ a customer bought one of those chips, and i installed it on a fairly stock 02 TJ with a manual trans. And afterwards when i went to go test drive to see/feel the difference, then i actually couldnt tell any. It is a waste of money in my opinion. A small notice was maybe if any at redline in 2nd gear when i heard the BIG open cone filter suckin in that super duper COLD air. haha j/k

I agree, I have the JET stage 1 chip and if I wouldn't have gotten it for a good deal I would regret purchasing it. Unless you got lots of money to spend or unless you find a real good deal on one, it's not worth it.

I had a buddy get one and then only time you could tell a difference was when you got into the high RPM's.. and even then it wasnt even that big of a difference... total waste of money
