TJ A/C fan speed switch

Don't forget to try rockauto.com

(You can also print out the rockauto price, and bring it into a local store, and they pricematch. :) )

My A/C fan speed switch died yesterday on my 2000 Wrangler daily driver. Fan only blows on low. Has anyone else had to replace this? If so, where did you get it? Has anyone ever bought anything from this website:

They have it for $29.95 plus $12.95 for shipping.

Are you sure it's the switch and not the knob? I've had two of the knobs go on my '99 and sometimes it's hard to tell if it's the switch or the knob until you pull the knob off.

If you haven't already, I'll pull the knob off and see if you can move the switch with pliers (needle nose will get in there) and make it work. They still bend you over for the knobs (around $10 if i remember correctly), but certainly less money and time than replacing the switch itself.

x2

And if it isn't the knob you can replace just the switch. It is easy to do and I think it cost me about $30 to buy one from Northpoint Jeep in Winston a few months back.

Thanks for the info. I guess I assumed the dealer would be high, but I'll call them.

I'll look at Rockauto.com too.

I have taken the switch and knob out and the switch turns and nothing happens.
