Where are you guys mounting them at? I want to keep it low and not mount it over my head. Just wanting to see what you guys are doing, I had a cheapo radio shack CB that was mount above the TC Shifter, But now that I have a Cobra 29 it is to large to fit there.

Just looking for ideas.

Thanks.

Mines up top I made a rack that goes across from the rollbar right in front of the visors. It leaves enough room so you can still use the visors and isnt in the way.I am 6'2" and have plenty of room. I wanted to build a center overhead console but after I layed it out it was in the way so I went this route. I like it because it really isnt visible from outside the Jeep. That 29 may be too big to go that route though. Heres a pic

Mine is to the right side of shifter mounted with a bracket to the console near where it meets the floor. I have had passengers with me, thought it might be in their way but hasnt been a problem so far. Plus is easy to access if need to change channel or adjust. I have the 25, shouldnt be much size difference if any.

In the bronco I mounted mine in the overhead spreaders along with some switches. The nice thing is it's out of the way but easy to reach and see and the speaker still works worth a damn.

That was another reason I wanted mine overhead ,so I could hear it without mounting a ext. speaker. I eventually want to do an add on cage with streamer bars from the main hoop to the widshield and put it there but Im a long ways from that and I really like the setup I came up with.
