OK so I took @josh$$ and @Jason W. advice and got one of them there fancy @Barnes 4wd 2" drop skid plates. Oh and she's purty!

But now i think I've undone all the wonderful goodness Dave did for me at @Oliver's when I got the SYE and driveshaft, because the high RPM vibes are back.

I've only got a 3" suspension lift, so I didn't get adjustable control arms, but NOW I'm thinking it's a must (unless I'm missing something)

I need some advice, or to be pointed in the right direction before I go bother Dave again. Here's a shot of the day I brought it home from Oliver's

And here's a shot after the pan

Does it LOOK like I've monkeyed up the angles with this pan?

Do I now need UPPER or LOWER adjustable control arms?

I need all the help and education I can get on this because I want to do it right.

And I went and dug up this thread and learned a few things but I know how some people here panic when you resurrect a dead thread, so I created my own to upset the OTHER folks that get mad when you don't use search :D

Thanks in advance

No vibs before the mod?

It does look like you could turn the pinion up a hair.

NONE!!! It left your shop and floated like a cadillac at 75 all day long

(I'm the one that screwed it up)

I would try the adjustable uppers first. I think ECGS keeps them in stock. @Cperry

x2 Looks just a touch low with the raised belly

I do have a bushing style uca on the shelf or I should be able to make a set of jj uca's in the next day or two. Give me a call if your interested.

Be sure that the case or Trans is not touching something up in the tunnel or the skid. Any contact anywhere will cause vibrations .

Initially I had a really loud (metal on metal) low vibration from that very back ear/tab on the transfer case housing just barely making contact. I ground all that down (on the pan) and it has room to move freely....but as soon as I get my rectal exam camera 1-tonmudder found us I'll be able to be 100% sure I'm not touching anywhere

JJ UCA's on the way

Thanks guys!!

You're going to want lowers sooner or later, too. I have some fixed length RC lowers and a pair of Barnes joints and bungs if you want an adjustable set.

While I clearanced 2 places after the initial install, after I installed the UCA today I also pulled the pan again to see if there was any sign of parts touching. Sure enough, 2 places I'd already clearanced were again rubbed clean of paint. More grinding and painting and reinstalled to a vibe free ride now!!!

Thanks to all who responded
