so heres my problem...whenever i put on my left turn signal apparently my flashers come on, and when i put my left turn signal on and have the foot brake pressed down it does not flash at all but stays lit up. secondly the blower for my a\c and heat works only on setting 1,2, and 4...when you turn it to the 3rd setting nothing happens. any suggestions on what to check out and how to fix them??

The signal is most likely ground related or a bad bulb. When you lose grounds on signals, they do weird things. Start by jiggling the bulbs on the left side, most likely the rear. Then check for burned out bulbs. the heater thing is as follows:
At the switch
Check the 14 gauge light blue wire while plugged in and on speed 3
If you have 12v the switch is ok, if not replace switch.

At the blower resister
Check the 14 gauge light blue wire while plugged in and on speed 3
If you have 12v the wiring is ok, if not repair the wiring.

If both above checked out ok replace the blower resister.
Hope this helps.
Edit: Mine does the same thing, but I never bothered to fix it. I come from a CJ background, so I am just happy to have heat.

I have had odd problems with my turn signals and brake lights which always seem to come back to the same thing; water getting into the steering column from the 4 way flashers. I dunno if this will fix it for you but oddly enough I have been able to move the 4 way switch back and forth and everything works again.

As for the heat/ac blower control I have had #2 out for a year now and the only way that I know to fix it is to replace the switches. It typically costs about $100 for a new unit and is very easy to install.

My 2000 TJ blower switch only works in 1 and 4. First I lost 2, then I lost 3. I guess I will replace it if it loses 4. I seem to recall the dealer only wanting about $20 or $30 for the switch.

mine olny works on 4......

I may be wrong but last time I looked into it the entire hvac control assembly needs to be replaced. If you can get it for $20 or $30 from the dealer I will take three of them. ;)
