tj tranny

i have a tj with a 4banger and auto.. climbing straight up it seems to run out of fliud and stop pulling for a sec... anybody have a way to fix that? can u put a pump in it or somthing?

having trouble understanding your post...you mean on a hill climb it feels like the tranny is giving out on u???? This happened to me a while ago in my 3spd auto....I winded up putting in a deeper tranny oil pan and it solved the problem...also may want to check into a tranny cooler HTH

yes its not like its getting hot.. it can be the first climb.. but it has to be very steep ,like straight up. it stawls for a sec. then jumps like its running out of fluid. thanks for the help
 
Yo Brian its Josh. I have a buddy that used to wheel a stock jeep auto and I'm checking with him about this. I'll let ya know asap.
