too early for gun safety?

my kid usually picks up books or magazines and reads aloud the colors of pictures or jeeps and what they look like...

but i found him scratching his head and was generally curious about what this book of contraptions where. i told him "guns" and showed him my XD .45. i figure its never too early to start gun safety...

healthy sense of curiosity. most kids would of thrown it down as soon as they realized they had no idea what they were looking at.

If he's like I was you better get him a BB gun. Lol I was shooting a 1000 rounds or more a week when I was 10.

I was allowed to shoot (supervised) from around age 5.

I wasn't allowed to shoot unsupervised until around age 12.

I'd be careful though, you know how nosey kids can be...if he knows what it does, or even if he doesn't know what it does, don't let him find it in the house!!
