I recently installed a 4 inch procomp lift on my 89 toy and i just got my new tires mounted tonite, 315-75-r16 yokahama geolander mt's, when i installed them i noticed they are rubbing the lip on my upper a-arm..... is it ok to grind a small amount of this lip off, and smooth it so it doesn't puncture the tires, or is this a real bad idea?.... i am open to any suggestions......i don't need much clearance, only a 1/4 inch is scrubbing, but i'm not sure if when the suspension flexes the little it can (damn ifs) wether or not it will scrub the a-arm.... didn't know what you guys thought....

You might need 1/4" wheel spacers, or different wheels. I've got a pair at the house collecting dust...

Rich is right, I'd use a wheel spacer before grinding on IFS. I don't know alot about IFS and I have an 89 Toy as well, but I know it's not a solid piece of metal and a 1/4 of an inch will prob damage it. On 89 Toys you can turen the torsion bars up have you thought about that? I've got atleast three inches on mine just adjusting them alone.

i helped him with his truck, his t-bars aren't cranked all the way, but it doesnt' matter because the top A-arm doesn't move in relation to the tire all that much. small wheel spacers may work, thanks
