what is a cheap lift for a vehicle with torsion bars, i have heard you can turn them and raise the vehicle a little is this true?

if its a toyota, go ahead and crank them and fit 33"s. It'll ride a little rough but it's worth it.

I have a 95 Z71 that when I first bought it I put 2" blocks in the rear cranked the tbars, and ran 32's for almost a year. Then once I got it lifted I had rear axle wrap issues with a 5" rear block so right b4 christmas I switched to a 4" shackle flip in the rear with a 2" block and I already had an add a leaf so I cranked my tbars to the max in the front to match the rear a little better. I also have a friend with a 4runner with maxed out tbars. Yes it will stiffen up your ride a little bit if its a stock vehicle, but on mine sice I have a lift it rides fine. You should be alright to crank em up, I would do it.
