1999 7.3 I have a bad injector! I am going to replace all 8 with stage 2 swamps diesel injectors. Any thoughts on this? Anyone used these before? Seems like a good deal $1400 for all 8 with a 5 year 200k warranty!

Other question, any concerns with killing the Trans by going to a stage 2?

Currently running, intake, 4" exhaust, TS tuner, wicked wheel.
 
I would be more concerned with the tunes on the TS chip and high EGT's with those injectors and the canned TS tunes. I'd call the to confirm first, but you might pull that chip and send it back to TS to have it re mapped for the new injectors.

When I had my TS on my 02 6spd 7.3 I ran Stock - High Idle - 50hp - 75hp - 100hp and 140+ Race. I got the same thing re-tuned by Power Hungry Performance later on and was much happier with the tunes. I had essentially the same mods, but just stock injectors. Daily driven it was usually on 100hp and towing on 50hp. Never had any EGT issues. But like I said, stock injectors.
 
They "say" these injectors don't need a reburn, but I thought about doing it anyway. My tune is Tony Wildman. you think the power hungry is a better choice?
 
I have never run a TW tune so I can't be certain. I was much happier with the PHP burn than I was with the smoke show that the TS provided. I don't forsee any real issues with running all of those mods on a stock auto as long as the fluid is good and you keep an eye on the temps. The Ford auto's really aren't bad transmissions at all.
 
Not sure if you have already bought the injectors but im putting 180cc single shots in mine from full force diesel the stage 1.5s. After talking to a few guys single shot injectors seem to be the way to go.

Not yet, what was the price on those? And warranty? ? That is one thing that is attracting me to the swamp injector. 5 year 200k is hard to beat!!!!
 
Ok, so I got single shoot injectors, and a reburn. Power seem to be not as much and now there is NO smoke! Talked to some people and they said you can't run single shoots in a late 99 WTF??
