I have pulled this much around home with my 2001 GMC
2500 not HD Have brake controller Trailer has three
Axles all with brakes. Gas mileage sucks towing no this

But to tow to URE through the rolling hills from say Wilmington nc
How do u think she will do?

I have a disel option but have to borrow it Like when I go to Harlan one time a
Year. Actual rated tow is 10200 this rule is loosely followed by all I know
Who tow both with gas or diesel

No direct experience with the 6.0, but I'm betting it would be fine.

You should be fine. I tow that much all over the mountains of WNC with a 93 Chevy 3500 with a 454 that has 145,000 miles & have not had any problems. I just take it easy & don't thrash it going up the mountains.

Just properly load the trailer and youll be fine dont beat the dog snot out of it in the uphills

Nah, beat the snot out of it on the uphills, just take it easy on the downhills and flats. Thats where you're more likely to lose control.

Should be fine as said. Brakes shouldn't an issue since you have them on the trailer. What rear diff does it have? that would be one of my concerns. maybe some air bags to help suspension too, as well as a tranny cooler, it it's an auto. Expect to drop off in speed on hills and take a bit to get up to speed. Expect it and you won't be disappointed.

If it's a 2500 LD, it's a semi-float 9.5 I believe. The 6.0 HDs got a 10.5, and 8.1/Duramax trucks got the 11.5s, both full floaters, obviously.

You r correct sir I have 4.10 Gears Right now I am running
Almost wore out 265/75/16 I think I may drop back to
245/-16 factory size to help with the gearing
It is also a extended cab short bed 4x4
I weighed It a while back at 6,000 lbs I think the only
Difference with the HD and LD 6.0 gas is
The rear end and the lower stance

I have pulled around 10k regularly for years with 5.4 Ford F250's. You'll be fine to Uwharrie. Only notable times i want more is Black Mountain on 40 and the climb on 77. That said my last truck was 4.10, new is 3.73...bigger towing difference than you would think.
