I just sold a 92 Firebird I have to a guy down in Pittsboro. I told him I'd haul it down there for him, but the car doesn't have a transmission in it.

It is about a 20 mile drive from where the car is to where it is going.

Is it bad to haul a car with no transmission and just the engine bolted up? I'm worried I'm going to fubar the motor mounts or something. Should I rig up something to take the stress off the engine?

not sure on a 92 firebird, but I have had success running very long bolt into the bottom two bell housing holes and running a board across the frame and letting the bolts rest on the board.

^ yup...that's pretty much what I'd do.
