With my build I have nearly conceaded to a body lift being a good option. It will give me a little exposed frame to get sliders (base to an exo) tied in, will allow me to raise my fuel tank (tank to driveshaft clearance will improve), steering shaft to header clearance will happen (currently slightly rubs the egr port) and will omit my need for a hood scoop.

I don't like the idea of being taller but the more I deliberate with myself the more it makes sense.

Probably 1" would work fine but mostly what my searches find is 2".

Who makes the best kit and where to buy? Or talk me out of it.

I made the ones on my truck. It's super easy, cheap, and that way you can make the exact amount you want.
Just order a 2" rod of HDPE, and buy yourself some grade 8 3/8" bolts (or M10 if you want to keep it metric!) and matching washers from Tractor Supply. Use a miter saw to carefully cut the rod into pucks, then drill out holes. I think it cost me $20 total.
I did a 1" on my 89 4runner and 1.5" on my '93 p/u and it was perfect. Not enough that misalignment on anything is really notable.

Where did you get the hdpe?

The first time I did this I lived outside Winston and got a rod of HDPE through Triad Plastics, just went and picked it up.
But McMaster Carr works, as does about any parts distributor.

Careful cutting it. Use a nice 80+tooth blade on a mitre saw, with the work clamped in place. It's amazingly strong stuff and will fight back.I almost lost a finger (being stupid) trying to cut the last piece, which was too small to grip properly
