You should not have any problems with running 38s.I havr ran 38s 39s and 40s with no problems till i lock the front. Then i broke birfields so i got longfields. No problems with rear

yea i was told that i can only run 35s but i have bin seening peoply runing 40" and 42" but all i wont to run is 38" tires but i wont to lock the front and rear but i have 44 and 14 bolt i just dont wont to git the drive shaft work done i cant aford it right now

keep the yota axles and go easy on the skinny pedal til ya can get the shafts upgraded. what gears do you plan on running? and is either axle locked. and (dont take offense, just pointing something out)....do you actually plan on wheeling it? cause if its never gonna see the rocks it dont really matter what axle is in it.

yea i plane on wheeling it i wheel it at lest onest a week or more and i wheel it like a mad man i dont care if i brake somthing but thats why i am scarde of the toyota axles it when to ure this year and now that it bin there it going agean and it got torecherd and i plan on 5.29 gears and cromleys

I have a 84 yota got it new and i have wheeled it very hard for 24 years

37 pitbulls
529 gears
whelded rear
lockright in front
longfields front
stock rear

Ive seen more than a few yota 8" running 38s and 39s. Just out of curiosity, are you foreign?

I run 39.5 TSL's, 30 spline longs, arp studs (steering and hub), 5.29's, locked front and rear, and stock rear shafts. Haven't had a problem yet and have beat on it pretty hard. But seriously....try and type in complete sentences, i can deal with the spelling.

no i am from P.A. and moved to north carolina 9 years ago i just cant spell lol and when i tip i git ahead of my self i am gitting better thowe yea i wont 40" tires but i think thats asking to much from any axles the way i drive

toyotas are stronger tha 44's

yea but will they hold 38" i wont to run 40" but i dont think that any axles will take my driving ceapcherokee89 will tell you i dont go easy on any then i just brock my hub on my 4runner i have bin betting it its stock but has 33/9.50/r16 mud tires and i give it heck but what i am runing 38 or 40 on is a 1980 toyota pickup shorted 1' 1/2 feet and lifted 7" right know i am gona lift 8 more inchs it got a stock 4cy and 4speed tran

Wow man slowwwww down and type.Yes the yota axles will take a beating if you have read the past post in this thread there are lots of guys on here that have put them through the test.I run 36's with 5.29's and aussie lockers(soon to be ARB)and have blew up my stock birfields.I have longs now and have wheeled them pretty good no issue.Sounds like your going to lift that truck way too much, remember higher isnt always better.

To answer your question, with longfields in the front, you have an axle that is comparable to a dana 60. The rear will hold up to anything you can put it through with your stock drive train. Lock 'em both. It won't matter.

xWhatever.

They will hold up. Just make sure you build them right. ARP studs all around, 30 spline longs, cromo hubs, you can cryo the gears if you want to, lock them up and run it. They will be fine.

Well maybe you need to learn how to drive then because I have 36's and hardly ever get hung up on rocks as far as hitting it with my axles.
