have a 1986 4runner SAS with cross over steering, the pitmen arm is 6" hole to hole. this is to long and hits the drag link when flexing, were can i get a shorter one? is this a normal problem? realy dont want to move the steering box!!!

You can get a flat one from Trail-Gear, Marlin Crawler, or various other places, BUT a flat arm might require you to move the box to keep it from hitting the frame. Sky Manufacturing used to make a shorter pitman arm, but they were CNC machined and pricey.

I know where you can get one shorter than six inches.... but it'll cost you!

I don't think it will fix your problem. Much shorter of an arm and you are not going to be able to turn very sharp either.

Just look at my setup and see how that's routed. It might be an easier fix than swapping the pitman arm.
