Toyota T-case mount

On my first gen toyota I've been noticing the transfer case lever and the transmission shifter moving side to side quite a bit lately. When you hit a bump, you can see the levers move side to side together. Also, when going up a steep climb the fan sometimes will hit the shroud. My first thought was the rubber t-case mount. I pulled it out today, but it isn't broken, the rubber is pretty flexible and i can compress the mount some with my hands, but i was expecting to see an obvious break or tear in the rubber. So my question is, can the rubber just be getting soft enough after 24 years to allow enough movement for the fan to hit the shroud?

And it isn't the motor mounts, one was replaced about 2 months ago, the other is still holding fine.

Thanks for the help.

weld a chain to it...lol

you sure it isnt motor mounts? i had a hard time keeping them in my old yota until i ran a bolt through the center of the motor mount... ive seen plenty of brand new yota motor mounts all ripped up

Positive its not the motor mounts. I went ahead and replaced the transfer case mount and it seems like it fixed the problem. Time will tell.
