Toyota Tacoma lift issues

I just put a 2.5 inch coil spacer kit on my toyota. I sat it down and the upper ball joints are catching on the coils. the truck will not even sit all the way down on the suspension bc it is hanging up. What can i do to solve this problem? I feel like this would be a problem alot of ppl have ran into when doing coil spacers.

my cb axles were also in a bind. Idk if it's because the truck wasnt flexing the suspension enough being hung up. I was recomended getting longer a arms but i dont want to get them and that not be the fix. Any advice?

Can't say I ever heard of this, but you may have to take the upper ball joint loose, hold it out from the spring and then set the truck down on it.

Yes.

I've never ran a spacer lift on my Tacoma, but I have installed one on a buddies truck. We never ran into anything like that.

To me nothing will really 'fix' this, since obviously if it rubs now, it would rub any time there was no weight on the suspension (offroad or if you change tires, etc). I have never heard of this happening (that I recall), what year model Tacoma? I ran a ~2" spacer lift on my first Tacoma without issues.

Side note, do you have the ADD hubs or manual hubs? With a 2.5" kit you are going to want to do a diff drop kit if you are running ADD hubs, the CV's and CV boots will wear out very fast if you don't.

I'm running a 3' lift in the front of mine now, and even with the diff drop I've burned through several CV's in the past year.

yea i really dont mind if it rubs with no weight bc i dont do much offroading other than at the hunting club. It has the add hubs and originally i didnt get the differential drop kit, but after doing some research on this issue i saw that i needed one so i have one on its way now. I do realise i'll probly go through some cv axles anyways. I believe i have found the issue though. I think the guys who are installing it didnt compress the coil enough before reassembling everything. They replaced the upper ball joints in the process and i think they reattatched them with the suspension too far out. If they would have compressed the springs more they when they let off they would flex to the max but they would be above the point where they hung up. and with the trucks weight on it, it should flex and give the ball joints some more clearance.

I had a buddy go with me to look at it and he sait what would solve it is getting some aftermarket camber bolts that have more adjustment and that should give the spindles a little more clearance... Anybody know where to get these bolts?
