ok i did a search like i was supposed to do...and i cant seem to find any info on converting a toyota forward shift t-case to a top shift. i just got off the phone with MARLIN CRAWLER and told them that their website still lists the top shift conversion...well of course they do not sell it anymore. so now i need help and info on how if at all possible to convert the forward shift to a top shift...i have two extra forward shift t-cases that i can convert if this is possible...anybody got any ideas or if you have done it let me know...

Top Shift

You will need the two shifter rails from a top shift case, I think. I don't think the forward shift rails have the slots for a top shift. I will look tomorrow, if I don't forget.

yes you can convert all you need is the topshift shift rails and you have to seperate the case take out old ones, pop in new ones, i think the shift rails from toyota are like a $100 and its kind of a pain in ars. easier to buy a used one keep one of you forwardshift cases so if anything happens to your topshift output shaft breaks ect, you can convert it then, ive done that a few times. since forward shifts are cheap.

to do it you seperate the entire case knock out some roll pins take out the detent balls and springs, and then reverse of that back together.
