I have a 1993 Toyota 4Runner. 3.0 V6, R150 transmission, stock chain drive TCase. Scored a geardrive 4.7 single case with the adapter for the transmission. Does anyone have any first hand experience as to whether or not I will have to modify my cross member? I want to have all my ducks in a row to make this as smooth a swap as possible.

Ok so I just finished installing the 4.7 gear drive case today. It was a pretty simple but tedious fix for the crossmember. The mounting holes for the TCase itself were the same and even used my old bolts from the chain drive case. All I had to do was move the mounting tabs back around 7/8” and weld them in. One side had to be extended upward as the mounting holes were farther up the case. Pretty simple just took a little time to get it just right. Pretty clean swap altogether and now I have some super low gearing in low range. 36FA6805-BCC0-4F22-88FB-850216689ADD.jpegCEEC9C05-C86B-40D5-B378-9D7051E3573B.jpeg76E30901-DC11-4E3E-A05C-B3B1E2D9A7E4.jpeg885EF080-8DC6-4269-833B-7AC927EE9695.jpeg41AE309B-C33F-4F1B-BB7A-F255904E22E1.jpeg
