How would you figure out how long of a track bar you need? the one i have is too short after puting my 9" lift on. it sits funny now, and the ass end almost seems to trail to the right a little bit while i drive it.
its a 77 f 150 4x4 with a 9" skyjacker lift.

front or rear. since you said the back end was trailing I would say as far to the opposite side of the frame it is mounting to, that would give the most lateral force. if it is for the front then you would want it to run parallel to your drag link.

track bar as in panhard (locate the axle laterally) or as in traction bar, to prevent pinion wrap?

with the track bar removed, i sit the vehichle on level ground and center the body over axles. (can use steering wheel to move body from right to left) then measure the distance from frame mounting point to axle mounting point. Keep in mind i have only done this on jeeps and am not familiar with ford trucks. although, i would think it would all be the same.

Front or Rear... isnt the rear leaf springs? maybe front too? the axle should remain centered w/o a track bar?
