Does anyone have a trailer backup camera on their camper or other trailer. I've been looking at the Furion, and Halo View cameras which are wireless, Also my Silverado can use the transparent view camera but it requires a wire to run the length of the camper. I like the Chevy camera since it integrates in my screen on the truck but don't want the external wire, where the wireless would add a 5" or 7" screen in cab.

I don't know how big your trailer is but I've tried both wired and wireless on my old 24' enclosed, the wireless sucked, screen would lose signal and turn blue often, I know for sure it wouldn't work on the 44'. I just had a screw together connector zip tied to the trailer plug, took no extra time at all to hook up... if your truck monitor is set up for a wired input seems like a no brainer.

Trailer is short about 25', I've read the Halo View is better than Furion. Yeah leaning towards the plug and play Chevy camera. Didn't want to run a wire on outside of trailer but It would probably be the best quality.

Y'know, you can be discreet with that wire and run it along the tongue and then under the trailer so no one can see it. ;)
:D

Yeah I know that, but getting to the frame from the top of a white trailer with a loom wrapped black wire is harder to hide. Wireless there is ....you guessed it no wires.

I read:

Or maybe it was just me wondering WTF?... unless this is for non-driving teenagers/mental midget subordinates? :flipoff2:
Lol I figured I'd catch sh/t. I do like to see who is tailgating me, and wouldn't hurt for backing up too.
When I was young an Olds 98 hit our Terry camper going to Wisconsin. Dad never saw him come up on us, guy fell asleep and hit the trailer dead square. We went from shoulder to ditch 2 times on a 4 lane highway, luckily it was raining or we would have Barrel rolled.
I am getting old and need all the help I can get. šŸ˜†

I've got a Voyager WVOS43 on my 29' Lance travel trailer. It was factory installed so I can't comment on how it works versus any other brand or why I chose it. I've been happy with it. It's wireless and I never had any issues with the monitor connecting with the camera. The 4.3" monitor is large enough for me to see what I need to see without hogging up real estate on the dash/windshield. The monitor will support up to four wireless cameras and one wired Voyager camera simultaneously, but I only run the factory installed wireless camera on the back of the camper.
