This is going to be a multipart question/s. It has been determined that my bud has a TF999 in his '80 cj7. Is this worth keeping and building up or go ahead and get a th350/400 or 700r4? Keep in mind we are building a medium duty 350 bowtie.
As for my ride I am wondering some personal oppinions. My dream is a nv4500. I have never been a big fan of AT's. I like the idea of not having to deal with possible bad clutch linkages and the weight and length of the NV with X-case making for bad drive shaft length. the idea of a properly built 700r4 does sound a little compelling. Sound off and give me your 2 cents. Hell, give a $1.50 if ya want.
