I know it's not 4x4, but I'm having a problem with my 98 s10 2wd. my dad gave up on it and gave it to me, the problem is that it will drive normal and have normal power until it gets warm and you go about 5 miles, then no power, it just revs. When it cools off it is fine for another 5 miles or so. He said that he added ATF the day that it started doing this, and when it happened he had it towed to a shop. they drained it and put fresh fluid in it and still the same problem. I think that maybe the pump in the trans is shot from perhaps having too much fluid in it. It's a 4l60e by the way. ideas?
