ive got a 78 F-150 with a 4 inch suspension lift and 33's for now. Its really only been used as a mud truck and we have some decent trails, but nothin heavy. Anybody know of a suspension that would fit my truck and let me get alot more flex for heavier trail riding. Its got a factory 9in. rear and a hp 44 front with heav duty axles. Any input would be appreciated.

If the springs are too stiff, you may be able to remove a leaf to soften them up a little.
Are you just looking for more flex, or overall ride quality?

For the front, I would wrist the passenger side radius arm. Do a google search using the words 'wristed radius arm'.

For the rear I would do a shackle flip and pull a leaf or two from the spring packs to soften it up to your liking.

You can do all of that for very little money if you've got the tools.

Another good option is the Cage radius arms. They are longer and hiem jointed at the frame end. They flex pretty good and the longer arm also helps ride quality.

What coils? Fabtech TTB 2wd coils flex pretty good. Cage Progressive do as well but I have no expierence with them.

Def, I made a 3 link that kinda mimics that setup on my bro's 78 F100 with some Deaver 4" lift coils from Bronco graveyard and it flex's like crazy, almost to the point where the rear leafs don't have to travel because the front just keeps flexing, course I'm gonna have to throw some limiting straps on it so the coils don't get over extended, but the point is the wristed or single link type pass side flex's good :driver:
