Transmission Problems...

My jeep has randomly started popping out of second gear, no reason whatsoever, it just goes back into neutral.

If I pump the clutch it forcibly kicks it out with a loud thud (Im not doing that anymore, it sounded scary..)

In any case, is there any one who knows what the problem might be? Im hoping it doesnt mean I need a new transmission :(
 
It sounds like the syncros have gone bad, a simple rebuild should cure it. or you may be able to find a used one in the for sale section here.

You might want to add some vehicle information to your post in the future.

He has a stock 4cyl TJ
 
going down Highway 70 past the Dollhouse and down to where 70 splits and goes to the new exit ramp on I-40 exit 121

National Transmission, take it to him he will check it for u for free, and he does the best work around Hickory

Yeah, I dont shop there for anything, especially certain diseases that travel around that place

I dont know for a fact but it fits right
