Is traveling to Harlan Co.,Ky. really all that hard to do taking I-40w to 19-23 through tri-cities over into Big Stone Gap, then go over Linch mtn. Into Cumberland. I have family in Cumberland, And I've traveled this way many times. I can be there in 3 and a half hours.BUT... I've never pulled a trailer over there.I wonder if anyone has trailered this route, are the hills around the state line too steep?

You can turn left at Duffield before you get to Big Stone Gap and follow 421 to Harlan. It'll bring you to the opposite side of the mountain from Cumberland. There's a couple pretty good hills, but all in all not a bad pull. That's the way we go from the Tri Cities (Kingsport). I'm usually there and unloading in about an hour and a half.
