Ok so I've done my research and they seem reasonably priced just wanted to know if anyone has ever ran them on their pickup and are they good tires any problems or complaints about em before I drop a grand on em and have em shipped performance in the mud ?

19.5s generally don't do well in mud and recaps don't last nearly as long as you want them to. Personally, I'd just buy some new ones.

I totally disagree with Croatan Kid. His statement might be true of most recaps but TreadWright is not a typical recap, it's a total remold. I have the TreadWright 285/65/18(E) Guard Dogs on my 2001 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD. I have the 8.5 liter engine and my tires can take everything I throw at it on road and offroad. I thought they were going to be a bit noisy on the highway but was very surprised as to just how quite they are. I have gone off road at 4th of July pass in N. Idaho and put about 600 miles on dirt roads in the past two months without a single problem. I was able to go anywhere I wanted to. I also read a couple of weeks ago on TreadWright's Facebook page that customers were getting as much as 80,000 miles if they took care of their tires and rotated every 3000 miles. Personally, I like the tires and would highly recommend them.

Thanks for your input if they last 25000 miles I will be happy Croatan kid we are talkin $120 a piece for tread wrights vs. $250-$350 for new ones I think your right on mud performance as a 19.5 does not flex very much at all Cory Kelley this is what I was looking for someone who is running them or has ran them thanks I'm not lookin to go mud bogging with them just get around the pasture if it rains with out being stuck on top you know that kind of mud performance

Oh, yeah, price wise they're MUCH better! That I'll definitely agree with.

@Cory Kelley I'm not sure if you know how tires are made...but they do theirs the same way everyone else does. Their quality may be a little better than your average commercial tire retread though. Kinda curious about that 8.5 liter you have too :shaking:

I wouldnt run then as steer tires but i think im gonna try them for drive tires on f550

He was probably saying that he wouldn't run a cap on his steer axle, but he may have been talking about the tread itself....

i have ran treadwrights on both my dodge 155, grand cherokee, and my land cruiser. i have been very satisfied with these tires. little noisy on road but great off road. my last set i had an issue with soft corners on the tread with one of the tires. they replaced it under warranty.

wife split a side wall on her BFG today. replaced with a TreadWright.

I have ran treadwrights on all my trucks for years, if there is a problem they will take care of it, I v never had any issues

I had a set of 33"-ish metric equivolnets on 16" rims, in the MT BFG knockoff style. They were great.
They are actually bigger and heavier than the original cores that they are based on, due to the re-mold procedure. I put 'em through the paces, then sold 'em to my BIL and he used 'em another year. Definitely worth it.
One that that is kind of funny is that the siodewall pattern is not always predictable b/c it depends which model tire they are making the re-mold from. Mine were clearly some old BFG MR casings.

@Bagt i just saw this thread again. What i ment was i personally probably wouldnt run re caps on the steer axle but on my truck i ended up getting boto tires for the front in "mt" tread pattern and i will eventually get tread right 245 19.5s for the rear but i havent yet.
