Do you need a ranger cab? I will have one for sale soon.

Is the cage welded to the frame or bolted... Only ask b/c you took it off.

It is welded. It was just tack welded on to the frame at first, then removed to weld the underside.

no thanks i got an old ranger i am buying for around 500 that doesnt have a motor but a 8.8 in the rear and has about an 8 in life and 35 mtrs on it with the hole cab and bed that are in great condition so all i need a motor i was thinking about putting something like an 302 in it but im not shur so anybody have any suggestions on what kind of motor

If I was to start over on building a ranger I would just swap the cab onto a older fullsize or bronco frame. Thats what DK did with his ranger.

If you find a late 70's ford bronco or F-150 it would have a d44 front axle, 9 inch rear, and a V8. The rangers stock front axle doesn't like the power of a V8.(I broke several with my 4cyl.)

It would be less work in the long run to do a cab swap than swaping in a V8 and stronger axles.

yeah well the truck im buying already has an 8.8 in the rear and the motor has been taken out so it needs a new motor to begin with but ill still need to build a new front end b/c right now its a twin i beam
