I admit I have done little maintenance on the truck until recently putting $1000 into slave cylinder and redoing clutch components. Then they tell me that the bearings are going bad and will need to replace them. I figure that in the end I will have about the same amount into fixing the truck as I would have into buying another truck. This is a list of what I know is wrong.
Catalytic Converter (throwing code+some rattle)
Heater core (currently out stopped messing with it when I seen blistered hoses)
Bearings in tranny (say so from tranny shop+are loud)
Knocks on startup (bad at times had mechanic say he didnt think it was lifters but was not sure what it was)
Leaking coolant (guessing intake leak going on year+ dont think it was from heater core leak)
Breaks, fuel pump, radiator prob need done also.
There is prob more wrong with it but I am not sure what direction to go. I think it really needs to be sold or everything associated with the motor replaced. Looking for opinions

Overall condition it looks good for its age and mileage, Fairly rust free and only one bad dent in rocker not that noticeable.

If I sold it I would be in the range of a $5000+whatever I could sell my truck for. So I would still end up with a 100k+ mile truck

you can spend the money on it then you know what you have or sell it and buy someone elses problem that they dont want to fix

catalytic conveter rattle more than likely a heat shield about to fall off. Either take it completely off or bolt it back up.

If you have 5 grand in your pocket you can do this.

turn your 305 into a 350.

VIOLA supertruck!
