Truck weight, tag price

There is (or used to be) a significant price per pound change after 12k and then again after 17k. My dad has 12k on his truck and its 120 or so a year, I have 17k on my truck and it is 230 IIRC. To go to 18k would've been another 100 bucks a year.

The first big jump in price is from 13 to 14k. Not sure what the next one is. 13k is 133 a year, plus your vehicle taxes. So mine is like 138 :D

I knew it was around 12k. I know the next price hike is 17k though. I went with 17k because I figured in the event I was over the ticket would be less than the extra 100 bucks a year over the time I own the truck.

Got a 26k tag on my pig. 403$ per year.

What do you weigh pulling both rigs? Or have you pulled both yet?
Pulled 2 rigs for 4 years now.
Badass and Pinkyxj + 3 dogs and all our shit= 25k lbs.

I am at 20k and it is 311 now. I am wanting to drop mine down to 16k or 17k. some of you have mentioned that there is a price jump at 17k. So is that saying the good deal is 17k or its a huge jump from 16k to 17k?

17k is a good deal. 18k is a whole bunch more.

I'm at 13 now. But with the new rig, I believe I'm gonna be under a few k. Might up my tag to 17.
